Fireside Chat FAQs

What’s the benefit of attending?

There are two main reasons to attend: 1) Excellent networking; 2) Engaging content. You’ll get 1 hour of networking (1/2 before and 1/2 after the discussion) and 2 solid hours of discussion. You’ll get to know the other attendees in a deeper, more meaningful way than a regular networking event (although those are fun, too!). The other reasons for attending are my kitties, the fire, the food and good cheer!

Is my registration refundable?

No, I’m sorry, the registration is non-refundable, but it is transferrable to another attendee for the same Fireside Chat.

Is my registration transferrable?

Yes, the registration is transferable to another attendee for the same Fireside Chat, but please contact Maria  to let her know the name of the new attendee.

Where should I park?

There’s plenty of parking at my house, if you drive all the way down the driveway. If you’re there first, pull right up in front of the big, red barn out back.

How can I arrange a carpool ride to the event?

Feel free to use the Maine Wedding Network Facebook Group to coordinate carpool rides with other attendees.

What should I wear?

Layers is a good idea. Sometimes the fire is super hot, but because it’s winter, it’s probably a good idea to dress warmly. Wear thick socks or bring slippers as I’ll ask you to take your boots off at the door. Thanks!

Can I register for the event at the door?

Nope, sorry, all attendees must be registered in advance.

Do I need to bring my registration to the event?

Nope, once you’re registered, you’re all set.

Will there be food?

You bet! I serve savory snacks and drinks for both the morning and evening Chats. Yes, wine will be served at the evening Chat.

What should I bring?

Business cards to exchange with the other attendees, notebook, pen, slippers, and a positive attitude.
